Truck falls into Tabuk irrigation canal; 2 dead

TABUK CITY, Kalinga -- Two persons died and four others were injured when an Elf truck plunged into an irrigation canal here in Purok 6 Tuliao, Barangay Calanan around 6 a.m. Thursday, Dec. 15.
    The fatalities were identified as Edwin Capuyan and Jayson Quinio, both residents of Barangay Agbannawag of this city. 
    Injured were i truck driver Cesar Abalos Camtugan, Marlon Masedman Kis-ing, Jaymar Bisitacion Badillo and Daniel Casim Cudal, all residents of Calanan.
    Investigators said the truck carrying the victims came from Barangay Agbannawag and were on their way to Conner, Apayao to attend a fellowship of the Assembly of God.
    They added the truck driver lost control of the wheel at a sharp curve, causing the vehicle to fall into an irrigation canal.
