BAGUIO CITY -- A here has denied vandalizing a café, after it posted a Facebook statement claiming that he and a friend were banned from it, claiming that they were committing inappropriate acts.
Matthew Go from the band Tres shared screengrabs of a local café posting on their official Facebook page accusing him and his friend Clark Lozano of "destroying and stealing private property."
He said the accusations in the post were "all nonsense and trash."
The pair were also accused of defecating at the women's restroom, drawing inappropriate images and doing several other lewd acts, as well as claiming that they mixed semen into the drinks of other customers.
The café allegedly reported the incident to Baguio City Police Station 5 and urged Go and Lozano to surrender.
"I really had no idea of what was going on until I had received messages from certain people," Go said in a Facebook post on Saturday, April 22.
Go said his friend, Lozano, now lives in Canada "for good."
"We haven't met each other since the last time he went back home for a vacation back in 2019," Go wrote. "This so-called recent incident as mentioned by the establishment involving the both of us isn't even close to true and baseless."
The Baguio City café apologized and claimed that the post was unauthorized.
"Rest assured that we are taking this matter seriously, and it will be dealt with utmost importance and confidentiality," the café wrote.
In a post on Saturday, April 22, the café confirmed that Go and Lozano were not in the said café at the time of the supposed incident and no such incident happened.
"We would like to clarify that no police report has been filed at Station 5 regarding any issue whatsoever involving the two. Our official Facebook page has been hacked at the time which allowed us to post a malicious post," the café clarified. "We would like to remind everyone that our management does not condone any of such behavior, and we take these kinds of matters seriously."
Go is a member of the music band "Tres," with Raymond Cabuco and Toni Brix, and has released two songs, "Laban Nating Dalawa" and "Hindi Ako Handa."
