P500,000 item up for grabs; no takers

KAPANGAN, Benguet – This lost and found item has no owner. Or no one is coming forward to claim ownership. The item consists of two plastic bags containing 20 kilos of dried mirijuana bricks valued at P500,000.

It was found in a waiting shed at the here junction in Lasilas, Beling-belis.

Town police found the prohbited stuff on June 13 at about 5:30 a.m.

Nobody has gone to the police station to claim ownership of the lost item.

The owner abandoned the stuff to avoid arrest, police said.

The P500,000 value of the prohibited goods was based on the estimate of the Dangerous Drugs Board. -- Mike Guimbatan Jr.
