SM joins Panagbenga with sizzling activities

BAGUIO CITY – This city’s top mall, SM City has scheduled a series of sizzling activities for Panagbenga (Flower Festival.) in this city of pines starting with a print communications campaign called My City, My SM yesterday at the mall’s atrium.
The SM environment committee will also treat students to a free film showing about the environment at Cinema 1 from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Feb. 10.
It’s cooking day demo for the elderly on Feb. 12, at SM Foodcourt, 3 p.m. ‘’The Art of Heavenly Cooking,’’ is sponsored by the SM Chinese food tenants.
Chinese New Year awill be celebrated t SM City Baguio with dance performances featuring the dances of China on Feb. 13 at 6 p.m. at the Atrium followed by Lion and Dragon Dance by Bell Church Athletes,10 am on Feb. 14.
A Wushu exhibition is also set Feb. 14, 6 p.m. at the mall’s atrium.
On Valentine’s Day Feb. 14, the Music of the Heart Orchestra will perform classic pieces and duets.
The National Commission on Culture and Arts will also perform ‘’Ani ng Sining’’ at 5 p.m. on Feb. 19 directed by Joey Ayala, NCAA chairman for music.
A photo op at the lush gardens called the ‘Botanic Indulgence” at the Event Center will also be held Feb. 14 to March 7, landscapes inspired by Panagbenga festivity.
The cutest and prettiest little princesses of the city will also be featured during Princess Pageant on Feb. 26 at The Event Center, 3 p.m.
Kapamilya Karavan is set Feb, 27 at The Drive, 5 p.m. with a variety show of ABS-CBN's prime artists and top caliber performers.
Kapuso artists from GMA's top-rating shows will also visit the mall to greet their fans on Feb. 28 at The Drive, 5 p.m.
Panagbenga Specials is held Feb. 26-28 -- three days of great finds and selections in participating establishments at SM.
A concert is set at The Drive from March 1 to 7 ! It’s Flower Power Party on March 1 featuring late 60’s-early 70’s band.
Dress up in your 70’s attire and attend the 70’s Disco Hustle Nights, Fantabulous 80’s Night on March 3,Techno 90’s Night on March 4, Out and Proud on March 5 featuring the Retrospect Band.
Stilleto Ladies Night Out is set March 6 with Doo- Wop Elvis Party on March 7 featuring the best local bands and artists from Baguio .All night parties start at 5 to 11 p.m. at The Drive.
Performances will segue to a grand fireworks display for Panagbenga Closing Celebrations on March 7 at 7 p.m.
