Marijuana plantation ‘cultivator’ arrested

TADIAN, Mountain Province – An alleged cultivator of a marijuana plantation here is now in custody of local police following his arrest.

A report issued by Insp. Karissma Gacusan St. Juana, provincial police information officer to Provincial police director Senior Supt. Fortunato Basco Albas said the arrest was implemented afternoon of April 7.

The report said Tadian municipal police station headed by Insp. Cristina Poik-ew Cruz went to the plantation located at the boundary of Mabalite, Tadian and Catengan, Besao both towns of the province after getting information that a marijuanan cultivator was caught by members of 50th Infantry Battalion at Mabalite, Tadian..

Upon arrival, members of the Charlie company of the battalion led by Sgt Marcelo Iniego turned over the suspect identified as Sapidda Dapeng Ducao, 39, single, farmer and a resident of Catengan, Besao.

The Army men turned over documents and evidence for filing of a court case against Dapeng.
