Eleven bar workers charged for murder

BAGUIO CITY – Eleven people employed at Samurai Bar here, charged for murder in the killing of Melvin Casillan, a male entertainer from Desert Moon entertainment bar.

Station 7 chief Insp. Paul Mencio, said all have undergone paraffin tests since none of them would identify who among their group fired the gun that killed Casillan.

The suspects were charged after undergoing inquest proceedings as ordered by city prosecutor Elmer Sagsago.

Mencio said last June 18, a friend of Casillan had an argument with one of the suspects.

Days after the incident, the group from Samurai allegedly sought vengeance.

It was allegedly Casillan whom they chanced upon that ended his life.

Those who were arrested were Alan Pineda, the alleged assailant as stated in a spot report at Station 7, Sandy Pineda, the alleged bar owner, Geron Pineda, Ener Pineda, Elvin Pineda, Silvereth Rigonan, Joynard Dizon, Ricardo Balluyot, Danny Canosa and Jose Lawan.

Lawan aided in Casillan’s mauling, the police report added.

Casillan was shot dead last June 25. He sustained three gunshot wounds, two of which were fatal.
A bullet hit his right ear, the two other bullets hit his right armpit and left flank, which penetrate through his right lung and small intestines.
