BAGUIO CITY – Gargantuan bubbles which appeared on a creek near the Loakan Airport here remain a puzzle as the Department of Environment and Natural resources continues its investigation.
"It looked like there was a giant who did her laundry in the river because of the massive size of the bubbles." said Tiffany Bahni, who took pictures and reported the incident to the media.
It is too early to conclude that waste water from locators at the Philippine Economic Zone Authority caused the giant bubbles to appear in the creek near the city's airport and on the side of the Loakan Annex of the Baguio City National High School, said environmental management board regional technical director Paquito Moreno said.
The EMB is under the DENR.
As early as July 9, Moreno’s team has been getting water samples from the creek and other nearby water streams near the Peza locators.
The agency regularly checked other major industries and mines waste water to ensure no harmful chemicals were being discharged to the numerous creeks and sewage systems in the city.
Moreno said intensified monitoring should be done to prevent harmful effects of the waste water being dumped on city streams like the creek in Loakan to safeguard city residents’ health during the culmination program of the agency’s Environment Month.

why puzzle? but you are correct, it is the giants, the companies under the ground , above the ground who throw, scatters their waste loosely without considering the outcome and resuls, damaging the nature and badly affecting the health near it!
so why puzzle? the problem is the authorities does not gave a damm for the public 'cause they have already pocketed a lot money from the said GIANTS!
