LA TRINIDAD, Benguet – A Catholic high school here was thrown into panic Wednesday with authorities suspending classes due to a bomb threat here in Barangay Buyagan.
Teachers of San Jose High school, located a few meters from the provincial capitol, said they said a message written on a piece of paper on a door in one of the classrooms stating “MILF planted a bomb inside the campus, evict all your students or 1207 students will die at exactly 3:00 this afternoon”.
Police immediately responded after being informed about the threat. Different media groups also immediately went to the location.
Unsure of the seriousness of the threat, authorities cleared the area of people.
By the end of the afternoon, police declared the school safe but some students went home for fear of any untoward incident.
La Trinidad chief of police Montes Mogona said they will investigate and arrest those involved in the incident.
