OFW, two men hurt in Abra shooting incident

BANGUED, Abra -- An overseas contract worker and his two companions were injured when shot by still unidentified perpetrators here April 25 at Domaoal St., Zone 6 around 10. A.m.

Police identified the victims as Dennis Besas y Pinto, 30, married, and a resident of Barangay Sta. Rosa here, Vic Agaloos Jr. y Pinto, 35, married, OFW and Albert Agaloos y Rosario, 28, single, joblesst of Zone 6.

Initial investigation conducted by Bangued Municipal Police Station disclosed that the victims and his companions were having a conversation beside the street, when the suspects who were riding in tandem on a black XRM Honda came near and with no apparent reason, shot Dennis Besas first followed by the others hitting Vic and Albert Agaloos.

Besas was shot on his left arm penetrating through his left side body while Vic sustained gunshot wounds on his forearm and left foot. Albert was shot on his left hip.

The victims were rushed to Abra Provincial Hospital for medical treatment while the suspects fled towards west direction after the incident.

Combined forces of the Task Force Abra conducted dragnet operation but the suspects eluded arrest.

The SOCO team recovered eight bullet cases for Cal. 45 handgun, five deformed slugs, one slug and four fragments at the crime scene.

The motive of shooting is still unknown while the case is still being investigated to determine the identities of the perpetrators.
