2 nabbed with 7 MJ bricks in checkpoint

TABUK CITY -- Two men were arrested by police at a checkpoint here June 13 about 6:3o p.m. for transporting seven kilos of marijuana bricks valued at P385,000 aboard a motorcycle.
Police identified the suspects as arrested the suspects identified as Allan G. Hope, 36 of Quezon, San Isidro, Isabela and Wilfredo S. Satparam, 20, of Salvador, Santiago City.
The suspects said they came from Tinglayan town, Kalinga when they were accosted at the checkpoint.
When searched, they yeilded a gray traveling bag where the illegal drugs were placed.
The suspects were detained at the Tabuk police station while cases were being prepared against them.
Lawmen who participated in the arrest were from the Provincial Anti Illegal Drug Special Operations Task Group, Tabuk police under Senr Insp. John B. Cayat and the 3rd Maneuver Company Regional Public Safety Battalion led by Insp. Dennis Laurence Y. Bautista.
