4 lost Cagayan fishers rescued by Coast Guard

LAOAG CITY, Ilocos Norte — Operatives from the Philippine Coast Guard rescued last Monday four of the five fishermen earlier reported missing in waters off Cagayan province.
PCG’s Senior Chief Petty Officer Ernesto Renon, chief of the PCG Station based in San Vicente, Aparri, Cagayan, identified the four as Jeffrey Laurelio, 29; Mariano Pagud Jr., 16; ElimarLaurelio, 29; and NicanorAscado, 29; all residents of Barangay Casambalangan, Sta. Ana, Cagayan.
The search for Alejandro Pascual, 50, of the same fishing village, continues, said Renon. -- Freddie G.
