BADOC, Ilocos Norte – A father, son and their visitor were about
to take a rest from the afternoon heat, when armed men suddenly broke down
their door, pointed their guns and to their surprise their visitor declared,
“Charlie Cainglit, arestadoka.”
Four other alleged drug users were arrested in the house in a drug
bust here on June 6
Unknowingly Charlie Cainglit and son Anacleto sold shabu to an
anti-narcotics agent who upon receiving the illegal drug signaled elements of
the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency Regional Office 1, Ilocos Norte
Provincial Anti-Illegal Drugs Special Operations Task Group and Currimao police
to enter their house in Barangay Santa Cruz Sur 7B, Badoc.
Confiscated from the suspects were several plastic sachets of
shabu valued at P60, 000 weighing 6 grams.
As law enforcement units entered another room of Cainglits’s
house, four suspects were caught red handed while sniffing shabu.
They were identified as Arturo Jimmy Salvosa, Romeo Rosaro, Johnny
Toralba and Perlito Fernandez.
Drug paraphernalia were scattered in the house. Raiding lawmen
said the house was used as a drug den by users from nearby barangays.
Investigation revealed Charlie Cainglit was a member of the
Apostol Drug group which operates in Badoc and neighboring provinces.
All suspects were jailed and charged for illegal drugs.
