Benguet town officials fight over ambulance

TUBLAY, Benguet -- Town officials here and
village officials of Ambassador are fighting over an ambulance given by the
Philippine Charity and Sweepstakes Office (PCSO).
Tublay Vice Mayor Armando Lauro said the
ambulance was donated by PCSO to Tublay in 2008.
But the ambulance is in the hands of
officials of Barangay Ambassador for some time now.
Ambassador Barangay Chairman CrusoDaguioa
reportedly borrowed the ambulance some years ago but failed to return it.
Vice Mayor Lauro said only two ambulances
were inventoried under the town, one existing and the other destroyed.
The ambulance which was borrowed by Daguioa
was not included in the inventory.
On the other hand, Daguioa said the PCSO donation
is purely from their barangay’s efforts.
He said PCSO mistakenly gave it to the town
and not to their barangay.
The village chief added that he went with the
municipal mayor to get the ambulance.
