208 wanted persons nabbed in Cordillera

CAMP DANGWA, La Trinidad, Benguet – Two hundred nine wanted persons were nabbed in the Cordillera January to February.

Latest to be arrested were eight wanted persons in the region who were arrested in a span of three days.

On March 3, Abra and Benguet police successively arrested four wanted persons in a day.

Joint elements of the Abra Provincial Intelligence Branch, Provincial Public Safety Company and Regional Intelligence Unit (RIU-14) arrested

Andy Tumalip Layugan, 23 in Isiso, Saccaang, Sallapadan, Abra.

He was arrested by virtue of a warrant of arrest issued by Judge Corpuz B. Alzate of the Regional Trial Court, Branch 2 in Bangued, Abra for murder and attempted murder.

 In the same municipality, police led by Senior Insp. Reymino G. Padoyao, arrested Marcial Saking Brillantes of Dugpa, Pinukpuk, Kalinga.

He was nabbed in Barangay Gangal, Sallapadan, Abra after Judge Marcelino K. Wacas and Judge Milnar T. Limmawin of the Regional Trial Court, Branch 25, Bulanao, Tabuk issued arrest warrants against him for rape and theft.

Sallapadan and Manabo police also arrested Bryan Dayawen for rape in Ayyeng, Manabo.

 Tuba, Benguet police also also arrested Denver  Sumakey Dominguez, 32, miner of Balakbak, BashoyKabayan, Benguet.

He was arrested in Buo, Camp 3, Tuba, for violence against women and children and acts of lasciviousness.

On March 2, two wanted persons were arrested in Abra for attempted murder.

Archie Pa-a Madrigal, 33, of San Diego, Pidigan had a standing warrant issued by Judge Corpuz B. Alzate of the Regional Trial Court of Branch 2, Bangued, Abra.

Abra Provincial Intelligence Branch and Provincial Public Safety Company also arrested Rolando Vintero Bata, 47, Sagap, Bangued by virtue of warrants issued by Judge Alzate for frustrated and attempted murder.

On March 1, two wanted persons were nabbed by Tuba, Itogon and La Trinidad police in Benguet.

 The wanted person of Tuba arrested at Camp 1, in the town was identified as Christopher B. Mamerto, 24, and farmer for homicide after Judge Danilo P. Camacho of the Regional Trial Court of Branch 10, La Trinidad issued warrant for his arrest.

Itogon and La Trinidad police also arrested a 58- year old, driver at Lubas, La Trinidad for 10 counts of acts of lasciviousness.

He was identified as Shane Lachica Rivera, native of Negros Occidental with a recommended bail bond of P180, 000 pesos for each count.

 All persons arrested were incarcerated in concerned police stations.
