Chinese electrocuted at Cagayan mine site

APARRI, Cagayan -- A Chinese man was electrocuted at a mining site here in Cagayan’s northern town on March 3. 

 Reports identified the fatality as Hong Siang So, an electrician of Huaxia Mining Corp., which is reportedly engaged in black sand quarrying. 

Hong was pronounced dead on arrival at the Cagayan Valley Medical Center in Tuguegarao City.

Following this, authorities urged residents to always check electrical connections particularly with the coming of summer when fires are rampant.– Charlie Lagasca
