Rising Sun bus hits jeep; two BSU workers injured

ATOK, Benguet – The driver and passenger of a jeep, both employees of Benguet State University Buguias campus, were injured when a Rising Sun Bus hit their vehicle here Monday around 8:30 a.m. here along Halsema Highway, at  Bocao, Abiang.
The bus was driven by Billy T. Lis-eg of Besao, Mountain Province while the Isuzu AUV jeep with license plate No. SKD 879, was registered to Benguet State University, Buguias. It was driven by Felix Dalilis Sab-it, 47, administrative aide at BSU Buguias Campus.

 Investigation disclosed that the bus was heading towards Buguias town when it maneuvered to the opposite lane to overtake a pick-up truck ahead of it but it came into contact with the left side rear portion of the incoming Isuzu jeep heading towards La Trinidad, Benguet causing the jeep to head straight and run over the elevated portion of the road gutter where it stopped. The driver of the jeep with its passenger Sabado B. Dal-usan , 42, married security guard at BSU, Buguias Campus were rushed by police to Atok District Hospital for treatment. They were later sent home by their attending physician. The bus incurred damages on its driver side windshield, front signal lights, and on its left side front portion. Both parties agreed to amicably settle the case
