Training plane emergency lands in Ilocos town

STA CRUZ, Ilocos Sur-A training plane emergency landed along a coastal area in Barnagay Pilar this town Wednesday after its engine developed engine trouble.

The instructor pilot and a student of the Cessna 152 safely landed.

A police report said Miguel Franco Tubasis, flight instructor of WCC Aviation, Binalonan, Pangasinan, resident of Trenchera, Tayug, Pangasinan and

Ramielle Cycle Deltran, 21, single, student pilot and resident of 126 Manibaug, Libutad, Porac, Pampanga were aboard the plane when its engine suddenly conked out.

Town police said they were informed an aircraft had an emergency landing along shoreline of said place so they immediately proceeded to the area.

According to the flight instructor, they were heading south from Vigan City going back to Binalonan when the said Cessna 152 encountered engine trouble in the air.

The pilot immediately looked for a suitable landing area the shoreline of Barangay Pilar.
