‘Drug pusher’ nabbed in Tabuk City buy-bust

TABUK CITY,
Kalinga – A drug suspect was arrested by joint operatives of
Kalinga Provincial Police Office here on Wednesday.
Col. Job Russel
Balaquit, provincial director, identified the suspect as Randy G. Guavez, 37,
farmer, of Barangay New Tanglag.
Balaquit said
Tabuk City Police Office apprehended the suspect in a buy-bust operation.
Guavez
allegedly sold three heat sealed transparent sachets containing white
crystalline powder suspected to be shabu to one of the operating personnel who
acted as a poseur buyer.
Seized from
the suspect were three sachets of shabu and the buy-bust money.
Onsite
inventory of these items were conducted with the presence of media, and
Department of Justice (DOJ) and barangay representatives.
The arrested
person and confiscated items were brought to Tabuk City police station for
documentation.
Charges for
violation of Section 11 of Republic Act 9165, the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs
Act of 2002 will be filed against Guavez.
