BAGUIO CITY -- The stricter operations against violators of Enhanced Community Quarantine resulted to decline in number of violators apprehended.
In a report to Mayor Magalong, city police director Col. Allen Rae Co said from as high as 20 to 40 violators, the number of violators apprehended went down to just two yesterday.
The two male Unauthorized Persons Outside Residences (UPOR) were arrested for violation of Republic Act No. 11332.
They were accosted at P.Burgos Street and Purok 25 Irisan. One violator was brought to Station 2 and the other one was brought Station 9 and were subjected to inquest proceedings.
"The continuing decline in the number of arrested individuals despite the same intensity in our operations could be a result of the constant reminders and the threat of being charged in court and that people are now really realizing the seriousness of our situation," Co told the mayor. - Aileen P.
