Ifugao garners national awards for governance

LAGAWE, Ifugao --The provincial government of
Ifugao got honors in the “Conditional matching grant to
provinces (CMGP)) annual governance reform award of the Dept.
of Interior and Local Government.
The provincial government unit placed fifth in the national ranking and third place in Cordillera region in overall performance assessment in compliance to the 2020 CMGP fund release requirement.
The PLGU also ranked 23rd in the national ranking and third place in the region in the over-all performance assessment on implementation of CMGP projects for fiscal years 2017, 2018 and 2019.
DILG-Ifugao director Regina Elizabeth Mammag handed the plaques of recognition for these achievements to Gov. Jerry Dalipog and Vice Gov. Glenn Prudenciano Jan. 11 witnessed by officials and capitol employees.
Dalipog commended efforts of officials and personnel involved in the project.
The CMGP for road and bridge repair, rehabilitation and improvement, formerly KALSADA, is a partnership program between the DILG and Dept. of Budget and Management for provincial government units to address the poor state of provincial roads in the country and to instill governance reforms and improve competence of provinces in local road management and public financial management.
The project is now on its fifth year of implementation. -- JDP/MBL- PIA Ifugao
