BAYOMBONG,
Nueva Vizcaya - The Dept. of Trade and Industry reported shortage of pork in
the towns of Bambang and Solano in this province.
DTI provincial director Henry Conel Jr. said this was known during their recent monitoring of pork, chicken and fish products in public markets in the two towns and in Bayombong.
These were in collaboration with the Dept. of Agriculture and the Local Price Coordinating Council of the towns.
"Based on our monitoring of pork, chicken and fish in the two towns, there is a current shortage of pork supply due to the African Swine Fever (ASF) virus," Conel said.
He added price of pork ranged from P340.00-P350 while chicken and fish prices were P180-P190 from P130 to P150 respectively.
Conel said the LPCC team will monitoring prices to stop unreasonable price increases of agricultural products. -- PIA Vizcaya
