108 Cordillera cops start counter-insurgency training

CAMP DANGWA, La Trinidad, Benguet -- Another batch of Cordillera cops started training on internal security operations to combat insurgency and terrorism.
A total of 108 male police officers from police provincial Offices comprised BISOC Class 01&02 2022 RCOR Alpha to Bravo company.
In a simple ceremony at Dam 2, Philex Mines, Itogon, Benguet on March 8, Col. Benjamin DL Sembrano, deputy police regional director for operations graced the event as guest of honor and speaker.
In his message, Sembrano urged the trainees to pay attention and learn as much as possible from the program.
Sembrano said knowledge and skills that they will acquire in the program should only be used to uphold peace and order.
The basic internal security operations course is a three-month rigid training.
It prepares police to be highly effective and efficient in internal security operations as they are trained on strategies in combating insurgency and terrorism.
