Car explodes in Cagayan; four charred to death

TUGUEGARAO CITY -- Four residents were charred to death after their car caught fire and exploded after slamming into an Acacia tree in Anquiray village in Amulung, Cagayan, on , March 12, police said.
The fatalities were identified as trader Nicole Molina of Centro village and three of her workers as Oliver Taganna Jr., Benjie Pascual and Michael Indita, all of Estefania village in Amulung town.
Lt. Linda Domingo, Amulung deputy police chief, said the victims were identified based on the closed-circuit television camera when they took their respective seats after leaving their café and restaurant bound for home.
Police and fire workers responded at 10:45 p.m. upon receiving a report on a commotion involving clients at the café of Molina in Anquiray village.
I nitial investigation said the car had been running fast when it crashed into the tree.
