Ex-Itogon, mayor Palangdan passes on

ITOGON, Benguet – A former mayor of this mining town and board member of the Benguet Electric Coop. who ran for the congressional post of Benguet last elections passed away here Thursday morning, Feb. 9 due to heart failure at the age of 65.

Lawyer Victorio Tongatong, born Oct. 15, 1957, was reportedly found dead in the bathroom of their home here by one of his children.

He will be buried near their home on Monday. 

On Oct. 5, 2021, Palangdan, then the mayor here, filed his certificate of candidacy for congressman under the Independent Benguet Party.

He is survived by his wife Dr. Jofelia Tomilas Palangdan from Kabayan and their four children.
