Woman hurt in Bontoc collision

BONTOC, Mountain Province -- One passenger was injured in a vehicular accident along Bontoc-Banaue Road at Sitio Faniyas, Samoki of this capital town Feb 7.
When informed, personnel of Bontoc Emergency Response Team, Municipal Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office and Bontoc Municipal Police Station proceeded immediately to the site and came upon two vehicles that had head-on collision.
The blue passenger jeepney driven by Asher Raven Ngallawen was bound to Barangay Talubin while the White Mitsubishi L300 vehicle driven by Ariel Enriquez, resident of Alicia, Isabela was on its way to Poblacion.
As a result of the collision, a female passenger identified as Monaliza Dohyog, 28, resident of Banaue, Ifugao who was at the front passenger side of the white Mitsubishi vehicle was injured due to the impact of the collision.
She was treated at the site and later taken to Bontoc General Hospital for additional treatment.
Meanwhile, 13 passengers of the blue jeepney were unharmed.
As of this writing, Dohyog was still admitted at the BGH due to muskoloskeletal strain.
Following this, Bontoc Mayor Jerome “Chagsen” Tudlong, Jr., who chairs the MDRRMC urged motorists to observe road safety measures and always drive defensively.
