13 wanted persons nabbed in Cordillera; 58 towns post no crime

CAMP DANGWA. La Trinidad, Benguet – Police arrested 31 wanted persons in Cordillera while 58 municipalities in the region recorded zero crime incidents May 7 to 13.
Based on the records from the Regional Investigation and Detective Management Division, Benguet Police Provincial Office recorded highest number of arrests with 13, followed by the Baguio City Police Office with nine; Ifugao PPO, four; Abra and Apayao PPOs with two arrests each, and Kalinga PPO with one.
Of the arrested personalities, 10 were listed most wanted persons, of which four were listed at provincial level, two city level; three municipal and one station level.
Meanwhile, due to intensified police visibility and a campaign against criminality, 58 municipalities in the region and seven police stations in Baguio City recorded zero crime incidents during same week.
Zero crime incidents were recorded in 25 out of 27 municipalities in Abra; five out of six municipalities in Apayao; eight out of 13 towns in Benguet; nine out of 11 municipalities in Ifugao; five out of seven in Kalinga and six out of 10 municipalities in Mt. Province.
In Baguio City, Naguilian, Camdas, Loakan, Legarda, Kennon Road Irisan and Marcos Highway police station also recorded zero crime out of 10 police stations in Baguio City during the period.
