BONTOC, Mountain – The local government of this capital town cited individuals who exemplified outstanding and selfless service on Monday
Mayor Jerome “Chagsen” Tudlong, Jr., and Maj. Pedro Tactay, Bontoc chief of police awarded certificates of appreciation to three tricycle drivers in recognition of their honesty and integrity in returning valuable items left by passengers in their respective tricycle units.
It was stipulated in certificates received by recipients that their actions deserved praise and appreciation and worthy of emulation.
Awardees were Rex Fatog Chaomen, Jayson Khayad, and Joseph Segseg Geronilla.
Also, four traffic enforcers of the Bontoc Municipal Traffic Enforcers Volunteer Organization (BMTEVO) were recognized and given certificates of appreciation for diligence and dedication in implementation of the Municipal Traffic Code in the municipality that led to the smooth flow of traffic and prevention of traffic-related incidents or accidents.
They were Charibeth Batorin Panyo, Absalom Napadao, Dave Lifano Lawagan, and Mark Joey Toco-oy Kadchao. .
Mayor Tudlong expressed gratitude to awardees saying they were partners of government in making the community safe, peaceful, and beautiful place to live in.
The mayor added the exemplary deed of honesty, professionalism as drivers and customer service of the tricycle drivers were worthy of emulation.
The mayor noted presence of traffic enforcers saying they were important in ensuring safety of motorists, pedestrians and free flow of traffic.
