14 wanted persons nabbed in Cordi; no crime in 59 towns

CAMP DANGWA, La Trinidad, Benguet -- The Police Regional Office Cordillera recorded zero crime incidents in 59 municipalities in the region and arrested 14 wanted persons August 20 to 26. 
    Based on the records from the Regional Investigation and Detective Management Division, 59 out of 75 municipalities in the region and three police stations in Baguio City recorded zero crime incidents. 
    No crime was recorded in 25municipalities in Abra, seven in Ifugao; six, Benguet; five, Kalinga; nine, Mountain Province and seven municipalities in Apayao. 
    In Baguio City, Legarda, Kennon Road and Marcos Highway police stations also recorded zero crime incidents.
    During the same week, PRO Cordillera arrested 14 wanted persons, including two individuals listed as no. 8 most wanted person, both at  provincial level for the 3rd quarter this year.
    Of the said arrests, seven were arrested by Ifugao Police Provincial Office followed by Baguio City Police Office with five arrests and Benguet PPO with two arrests, the regional p[olice information office said.

CAMP DANGWA, La Trinidad, Benguet – Police arrested four persons August 20 to 26 for illegal drugs. 
    Cordillera police’s Regional Operations Division records bared the suspects, considered “drug personalities” were arrested in possession of 14.66 grams and 24.10 ml of suspected shabu, worth P250,621.48. 
    Three were arrested in Benguet while one was arrested in Ifugao.  
    Nabbed were Myler Ballosong, 31; Dave Mar Wag-e, 37; Myra Bugtong, 27 and Bueneventura Abansi, 34.
     The suspects are now under the custody of their respective arresting units and are facing charges for violating the Republic Act 9165 or Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.
