38-yr-old man in Baguio hit by pick-up, run over by jeep

BAGUIO CITY – A few meters before he could reach the driveway his to house, a 38-year-old man was killed when hit by a pickup truck and ran over by a jeep.

Police reports obtained by the DZWT 540 AM - Radyo Totoo said victim, Edelberto Bagabapdo Selim Jr., was on board a motorcycle when the accident happened evening of Jan. 9.

A pickup suddenly bumped his vehicle. The pickup was driven by William Wakangan Sapdoy from Sabangan, Mountain Province.

Due to the impact, Selim was thrown off his motorcycle and when he landed on the road, he was run over by the oncoming modernized jeep.

The driver of the jeep was identified as Ariel Talledo Fuentes, a resident of Spring Hills,

Loakan Road, Baguio City. 

Selim was injured on parts of his body due to the incident.

He was rushed to a hospital nearby by responding rescue team, but did not survive.

Authorities are investigating the incident.
