Cagayan massacre suspects now in jail

TUGUEGARAO CITY – Two self-confessed killers of a family of four in Gattaran, Cagayan are now in jail after surrendering to have surrendered to police.

Chief Insp. WilhelminoZaldivar, Gattaran police chief, said Edwin Ventura, 50, and Virgilio Martinez, 52, both farmers in Barangay Mabuno, Gattaran town, admitted killing Danny Baguiwong, 40, his wife Reymalyn, 33, and sons Reydan, 5, and Reymond, 1.

The two told police they plotted the killing as they suspected Baguiwong of stealing their farm animals.

They said they also killed Baguiwong’s wife and children as they had recognized them.
