P.5 million marijuana seized in La Union

CAMP DIEGO SILANG, La Unions — One-hundred-and-five kilos of marijuana worth about P500,000 were seized by anti-narcotics agents in Santol, La Union last Wednesday.

Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency egional Office 1 Director Adrian Alvariño said rolls of marijuana loaded in an intercepted Isuzu pickup truck (VEK-161) on the road in Barangay Coro-oy, Santol, led to the arrest of Noelezar  T. Molina, 31, a resident of Pasay City.

“This is one of the biggest busts of illegal drug for this year,” Alvariño said while he deployed his men to investigate to track-down the drop-off point of the suspect.
