Doctor, nurse among new Covid cases in Cagayan

CAGAYAN – A government doctor and a nurse
from a private medical facility were among the five new cases of Covid-19
reported in this province on November 7.
The physician, assigned at the Covid-19 ward of the Cagayan Valley Medical Center (CVMC), was tagged at patient CV 2978. She is 35 years old and resides in Tuguegarao City.
The nurse works at the Divine Mercy Wellness Center, is 30 years old, and is also from Tuguegarao City.
She was said to have been exposed to a Covid-19 patient at the hospital’s surgery ward. She experienced fever, cold, sore throat, and head and body aches.
The others who tested positive were a 31-year-old made from Tuguegarao City, a 29-year-old male from Solana, Cagayan; and a two-year-old boy from Bangatan, Gattaran, who was reportedly infected by his father.
Meanwhile, according to the latest data from the Provincial Health Office (PHO) and the Provincial Epidemiology and Surveillance Unit (PESU), the number of confirmed cases of COVID-19 in Cagayan is now 737, while 645 cases have recovered from the viral disease. There are 84 active cases, most of which are from Tuguegarao City.
