Bontoc, Philtra slate Phil trail run tilt Feb 25

BONTOC, Mountain Province -- Philippine Trail Running Association, Inc. vice president lawyer Aldean Lim and Roland Wangwang, founder of Tawid Mountain Marathon, paid a courtesy visit to Bontoc Mayor Jerome 'Chagsen" Tudlong, Jr. here Jan. 4 on Philtra’s proposal to conduct the "Philippine Trail Running Championships on Feb. 25-26 in this capital town.
    The "Championships" is the final leg of the trail running series held in different parts of the country, including Mount Pulag in Benguet, Timberland Mountain Marathon in Rizal, Spartan Trail Series in Pampanga and trail runs in Visayas and Mindanao.
    The "Championships" aims to select the country's representative for international races such as the World Mountain & Trail Running Championship which will be held in Innsbruck, Austria in June 2023.
    The event will be organized by Philtra in partnership with the Bontoc local government and Team Tawid.
