2 suspects in burning of videoke bar nabbed

LAOAG CITY – Two of five suspects in the burning of a videoke bar owned by Assistant Provincial Prosecutor Rosemarie Ramos and the wounding of her caretaker were arrested last week in Solsona, Ilocos Norte.

Ramos inhibited herself from the investigation when the suspects, Ronnie Baria and Charlie Alcon, were presented by lawmen.

Ramos said the suspects, including three others, who are at large, will be charged with arson and frustrated murder.

A police report stated that her caretaker, identified as Elmer Domingo, was shot and wounded by the assailants when they torched her videoke bar in Capurictan, Solsona. -- Jun Guiang
