3 illegal drug suppliers nabbed in La Trinidad

LA TRINIDAD, Benguet – Lawmen recently nabbed three alleged shabu suppliers here, the latest of whom was a female cohort of a shabu supplier from Manila.
Regional agents of the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency arrested Sylvia “Dakiwas” Bagtang,” 34, married, nursing aide graduate, native of Buguias, Benguet and resident of Km. 4, Pines Park, Lubas, La Trinidad, Benguet selling shabu afternoon of March 18.
Emelyn Fama, PDEA regional information officer said Bagtang was in the “target list of drug personalities in the Cordillera.”
Two small sachets of shabu were confiscated from Bagrang, which she tried to sell to a PDEA agent acting as buyer
The shabu, valued at P2,400 were placed in a video compact disc case, approximately weighing 0.20 grams.
A 1110i Nokia cellular phone was also confiscsated from Bagtang as evidence against her.
A week earlier, Bagtang’s cohort, a certain Leonard Palki, also in the target list, was nabbed with P10,000 worth of shabu by regionjal PDEA operatives during a buy-bust operation at Km. 5, La Trinidad, Benguet.
Also on March 12, an alleged drug supplier from Tondo, Manila was entrapped by PDEA and Criminal Investigation and Detection Unit operatives in front of the Epiphany Church, across the Benguet State University.
The suspect was named by Senior Supt. Moises Guevarra, regional chief of the CIDG-Cordillera as Marcial Cajucom, 41, married, a driver, a BS Criminology graduate, and a native and resident of Katamanan St., Tondo, Manila.
Fama said deactivation of local drug groups in the region listed in the target list is one of top priorities of Cordillera PDEA’s action plan for the year.
