But Supt. Mario Mayames, town police chief d Chief of Police at around 4:30 p.m. that day said police have not found explosives within premises of the Nazarene Learners Center.
Mayames said, school officials received a text message from an unknown source that there was a bomb within the school premises.
Mayames forwarded the message stating “ Warning: At La Trinidad Nazarene Learners Center compound, Pico, La Trinidad, Benguet, there was a bomb planned in your surroundings. Please be aware!”
The incident was no laughing matter, Mayames said, adding much resources and man power have been pooled just to secure the area.
He said there was panic in the area, adding, parents and students were psychologically affected by the incident.
This is the first time that a bomb threat was received by an establishment in La Trinidad.
Last month, SM City Baguio also received a bomb threat but no bomb was found in the area.
