CAMP DANGWA, Benguet -- Cordillera police gave a P90,000 reward to an informant who played a key role in the arrest of a child rapist, one of the top 10 most wanted men in the region, in Benguet two years ago.
Chief Supt. Orlando Pestano, Cordillera police director, credited the informant for the arrest of Nover Bongkili, 22, who allegedly grabbed the victim on her way home after attending a wedding celebration in Tublay, Benguet on July 21, 2007, covered her mouth with his hand while poking a knife in her neck, and then dragged her into a grassy portion where he raped her.
