P2.7 marijuana found along Mt Prov road

SADANGA, Mountain Province – Lawmen confiscated 110 bricks of dried marijuana worth P2, 706,250 million in an entrapment operation that netted no illegal drug dealer here Sept. 25,

Polcie said they responded to a report that the contraband was to be picked up and transported along the Bontoc-Kalinga Road that day.

Operatives of the Regional Mobile Group, 1611th Provincial Mobile Group and the Provincial Headquarters headed by Senior Insp. Allan Guyguyon and Insp. Geron Managtag led a team that found four cartoons and two travelling bags unattended along the roadside at Sitio Mamagam, Barangay Saclit here.

The dried marijuana was in brick form. Believing that the owners will arrive, the operatives hid and positioned themselves to wait hoping for an arrest but the owners never arrived.

The marijuana weighed 110.25 kilos.
