Drug abuse prevention month held

Drug Abuse Prevention and Control Week is being celebrated annually every third week of November. For this year, the celebration was from Nov. 14 to 21, with the theme, “Kilos pamayanan: sa droga patuloy na lumaban”, which calls on the public for the unity in the fight to eliminate drug abuse.

In the Cordillera, the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency spearheads the inter-agency observance of the anti-drug week with civic-oriented activities, highlighted by assistance on drug rehabilitation and treatment.

Chief Insp. Edgar Saldivar Apalla , Officer In-charge of PDEA, Cordillera urged constituents to visit their drug rehab assistance desk at the PDEA – Cordillera field office, Melvin Jones Grandstand basement, Harrison Road , Baguio City; or PDEA regional office in Camp Bado Dangwa, La Trinidad, Benguet, from November 14 to 21.
