BULL’S HIT
Rudy Garcia

BAGUIO CITY – I have nothing against politicians seeking another term and whose terms expire. But while running for positions, some complain that being in position is difficult yet they continue to cling to their posts.

They are perhaps joking when they say so, more so when they say they helped a lot of people with money from their own pockets. It is difficult for them to say they are really obsessed with power and money. Bu the voting public is more intelligent. It’s time we change these dirty and deceiving politicians. So go out and vote wisely this coming May election, change the undesirables and let the deserving remain or change them all if they don’t deserve to remain in public office. Period!

This peryahan cum pasugalan at the slaughter compound of Sto. Niño Barangay by a certain “Arthur” of Arlins Entertainment finally packed and transferred to adjacent La Trinidad, Benguet. Reports have it that another peryahan is going to open at T. Alonzo in Baguio.

Perhaps, some of the city and barangay officials are smiling reaching up to their ears from these peryahan camouflaged as barangay fund raising drives. And like other businesses, peryahan operators outdo and compete with each other.

They get financers who could afford to pay all the SOPs and under the table grease money for officials who give their “blessings” for the gambling activities. If the operator wants to get rid of the other, the financer comes into the picture. And bang, a job well done by concerned officials who would be getting a big part of the pie afterwards. So if the peryahan cum pasugalan starts to operate and remains “untouchable,” I guess the operator is the higher or highest bidder, wanna bet?

This dakilang alalay of lawyer Federico Mandapat, Jr., the regional director of the Dept. of Transportation and Communications deserves a good whipping on his ass. Could you imagine a public servant saying to me not to meddle with other people’s business. In short, he wants that I should be bulag, pipi at bingi on issues that are supposed to be exposed.

Maybe he was only drunk when he told me this, but this DOTC fellow is known to be a habitual bar hanger on at a videoke bar along Otek. and Cariño streets. I wonder where he is getting that money he spends for his almost nightly goodtime activities.

Attention manong “Bong” Mandapat, perhaps you need to stop, look and listen in every corner of your department. If still you cannot smell something, then I guess the bad virus from the past is now swarming in your good office, beware!

These city and barangay officials who were part of the hush-rush demolition of a small sari-sari store at No. 2 Leonard Wood Rd. should be investigated and placed behind bars aside from being made to face administrative charges.

If found out that they were in conspiracy with the private entity out to demolish the structure and grab the lot, then they deserve to be thrown in trash bins and let stray dogs eat them to pieces. Nevertheless, I still believe on the wrath of the universal law of retribution or “karma.” Surely, makakarma rin sila!

I wonder why residential owners who want to avail of “amnesty” given to those who don’t have building permits but could be given electricity by the Benguet Electric Coop. through an approved resolution are still being given a hard time before their papers are approved. Some say some government agencies require them to provide papers what they call are next to impossible. Parang ginawa na ring legitimate at hindi amnesty.

Attention, Baguio City mayor’s office, these people who want to avail of amnesty are mostly the less fortunate, so why let them carry more burden on their shoulders when you can have it lessened? I don’t want to think that some are making money out of this amnesty and worst from people who don’t even have food on their tables.Makonsensya sana kayo.
