Dominguez leads in MP Pulso Kongreso survey

QUEZON CITY - A survey conducted by Pulso Kongreso showed Mountain Province congressional candidate Jupiter ‘Jup’ Dominguez leading in a focused SMS survey.

Among 12, 879 respondent-cell phone users from Mountain Province, 35.53 percent opted for Dominguez followed by Franklin Odsey with 22.18%, Maximo Dalog at 19.94% and Thomas Killip at 13.62%.

Pulso Kongreso was commissioned by interest groups at the Batasan Pambansa as an indicator for the incoming members of Congress.

The target respondents for the survey were voters of Mountain Province with registered cell phone numbers.

With about 35,000 cell phone users in Mountain Province, the survey sample of 12,879 cell phone users were randomly selected using the RAN function of the scientific calculator.

All municipalities were represented in the sample although with minimal numbers from Barlig and Sadanga owing to poor cell signal in these areas.

The respondents were sent an open ended neutral SMS query – “AUTOMATED SMS POLL by BATASAN: Sino ang iboboto mong Representative o Congressman sa Mt Province?

Of 12,897 who were queried, 86.87 % or 11,204 responded. Of these, 94.97 % gave valid responses and 5.03 % invalid answers such as ‘secret, baka sabihin mo sa kapitbahay ko’.
