Landslide claims Ifugao boy’s life

BANAUE, Ifugao — A six-year-old boy was killed and three others, including his four-year-old younger brother, were wounded after a series of landslides buried 11 structures in View Point area, here afternoon of July 29.
Office of Civil Defense Cordillera Director Olive Luces identified the fatality as Jayson Ganggangan Bantayan.
Luces also identified the injured as Dadaan Ganggangan, 70; Isabel Ganggangan, 67 and Jayjay Ganggangan Bantayan, 4, all residents of View Point, here.
The OCD said the landslide was triggered by continuous heavy rains that loosened the soil and rock formation in the area.
