Farmer shot to death in Abra

SAN JUAN, Abra – A farmer was shot to death here by still unidentified persons around 4 p.m. on Oct 7.

Police identified the victim as Ariel De Leon Alias Amban, 33, married and resident of Sitio Ga-ang, Barangay Tagaytay in this town.

Initial investigation disclosed three unidentified male persons went to the house of the victim and were seen having conversation outside the house when suddenly, the victim ran away from his house but was chased by the suspects who shot him at close range.

The victim sustained multiple gunshot wounds on different parts of his body.

Police recovered three cartridge cases for Cal. 45 even as lawmen are trying to determine identity of suspects and motive of the killing.
