3 men buried alive; 1 dead, 2 survive

BAGUIO CITY-- A construction worker was buried alive while two others were injured after a portion of their construction site caved-in in Barangay Bakakeng Norte here Dec. 4.

Senior Supt. David Q. Lacdan, city police director identified the fatality as Aris Javier, 20, of Umingan, Pangasinan while injured construction workers were Rezalde Pajarillo, 20 and Pepito Baluga, 25, both employees of the FGU Construction company.

Police investigation showed the construction workers were busy removing the scaffoldings of the foundation of an eight-storey student condominium when loose soil at the construction site sunk and buried them. -- Dexter A. See
