Winners of Kalinga DPWH public service awards bared

TABUK, Kalinga – Winners of the recent Magandang Kalsada, Magandang Opisina and Model Employee of the Year public service competitions by the provincial Department of Public Works and Highways were bared.

Selected MEY was Edna Buen while Clayton Gasadan was “construction maintenance man” for “exemplary diligence and sterling performance, good working relationship with peers and supervisors, conscientious observance of office decorum, integrity, dependability and dedication to duty contributing to the attainment of the goals and objectives of the department as a whole towards a better public service.”

Meanwhile, the Agbannawag-Malalao-Bulo national road under supervision of engineer Marivic Pagala emerged as the Magandang Kalsada winner.

Second place went to Bulanao – Paracelis National Road supervised by engineer Julius Asencio, while the Calanan-Enrile National Road under engineer Joel Bucao was adjudged e third place winner.

The “Magandang Kalsada” program was initiated under district engineer Leo Mustard to improve national road networks in the province.

A “Magandang Opisina” competition was also held with the Planning and Design Section under engineer Rafael Fernando garnering first place.

Second was Guest House Security Unit under George Lumiqued while third was Maintenance Section under Ernesto Becaldo. – Gigi Dumallig
