ATOK, Benguet – A Canadian coffee company has fulfilled its promise to sponsor a medical mission in this vegetable and coffee-producing town by sending three doctors, two nurses and two medical assistants to Barangay Topdac here for free.

Rocky Mountain Café conducted the free medical consultations among coffee farmers, mainly members of the Atok chapter of the Benguet Arabica Coffee Growers Cooperative to make sure that they will be healthy to sustain the robust growth of the coffee industry in the whole province.

The medical mission which benefitted hundreds of coffee growers and their dependents was held at the Rocky Mountain Atok Coffee Mill.

Common ailments were hypertension among the older women and men farmers, and cough, colds and asthma among the children. -- Dexter A. See
