Family of 3 hurt in ravine plunge

ITOGON, Benguet – A Baptist pastor, his wife and their six-month-old child sustained injuries after their Toyota Tamaraw plunged down a 60-meter ravine along the Baguio-Nueva Vizcaya Road here Tuesday morning.

Pastor Jessie Osorio, 32, said his wife Leticia, 34, and their daughter Leah Jacinth were heading home to Bambang, Nueva Vizcaya from Baguio City when they met the accident.

Rescuers rushed them to the Sacred Heart Hospital in Baguio City.

The couple suffered minor bruises and contusions, while their baby was under observation due to head injuries.

Osorio said he could have momentarily slept and found out later the vehicle he was driving crashed down the mountain.
