Country Club opens ‘White X’masVillage’

BAGUIO CITY -- The Christmas Village at the Baguio Country Club here opened last week to give visitors an experience of a white and warm Christmas in Baguio City.
General Manager Anthony de Leon, BCC mamager said the village aimed to give children and members something enjoyable and memorable at the club.
The village is open to the public with members of the Northern Luzon Association of the Blind singing Christmas carols couples with sophisticated fireworks.
At the BCC skating rink, several snow machines were set up for visitors to give them a feeling of a “white Christmas” like they were in a traditional European Christmas in holidays.
Also, the village has a European design of life-size houses based on story books.
De Leon said decorations and houses qwew made of recycled materials to promote environmental consciousness.
Decorations were started September and employees pitched into the making of the “magical village” and amazing scenes.
A train at the center of the village was set up a scene for children where snow machines are located.
De Leon said the village was a showcase of the love of the people in the city. The
Christmas Village will be open until Jan. 6, he added.
