New BSU head vows honesty

LA TRINIDAD, Benguet -- The new president of the Benguet State University here vowed commitment, dedication, honesty and transparency in running affairs of the government school.
The mace symbolizing authority and responsibility in running the affairs of the University was handed over to new BSU president, Dr. Ben D. Ladilad by outgoing president, Dr. Rogelio D. Colting, Sr. in a simple ceremony at the administration building Dec. 6.
Dr. Colting addressed University constituents present to witness the event.
“I’m accepting this responsibility with commitment, dedication and transparency. I would like to reach out to you on matters that would lead to expansion, upgrading and excellence in various programs in instruction, research, extension and production or IGP,” said Dr. Ladilad in his acceptance speech.
He added he will continue to support the student first policy, strengthen human resource development programs and IGPs , fast track the full integration of the BSU Bokod and Buguias Campuses.
“We shall also fast track the approval of the BSU Code because it will serve as a bible that will guide us in the years to come,” he added.
Meanwhile, Colting in his farewell speech said,
“My family and I would like to thank you and the whole University for the unconditional support you have accorded to me during my incumbency as your president.”
He requested that the same support will also be extended to Dr. Ladilad. -- Jen Sabado-Tabangcura
