Syndicate member in Indian’s kidnap nabbed

LA TRINIDAD, Benguet – A suspect in the kidnapping of an Indian national here, an alleged member of a criminal syndicate operating in northern and Central Luzon, was recently arrested in adjacent Baguio City.
A police report identified the suspect as Miguel L. “Gaddang” Inomian, 42, resident of Western Buyagan, La Trinidad and native of Supang, Sabangan, Mountain Province.
The report said Inomian was one of prime suspects in the kidnapping of Indian national Gursender Sigh Bhopar on August 16 at Puguis, La Trinidad.
Inomian was arrested Nov. 17 at Nelbusco Bus Lines terminal along Otek Street, Baguio.
The group of Inomian was reportedly identified by witnesses in mug files at the La Trinidad police station.
Prior to the arrest, information was received by the La Trinidad police from SPO1 Francis Pawe of Apayao Provincial Public Safety Company saying the accused was seen in Ramon, Isabela on Nov.16 and that he boarded a Nelbusco Bus which departed at 10 a.m. morning of Nov. 17bound for Baguio.
Immediately, a team was formed under Senior Insp. CleefVencio of La Trinidad police.
The team proceeded to the Baguio Nelbusco Bus terminal and waited for the suspect who arrived around 6:30 p.m. same day.
Inomian was immediately arrested after he got down the bus.
He was shown a copy of his arrest warrant while his rights were read.
The suspect was later incarcerated at the La Trinidad District Jail.
A case of kidnapping against Inomian and others was subsequently filed before the Office of the Provincial Prosecutor, La Trinidad, Benguet, docketed under Criminal case No. 11-CR-86-600 with no bail recommended.
The police report said Inomian had been engaged in robberies, victimizing pawnshops, banks and cooperative establishments and also a member of the Acetylene Gang operating not only in the Cordillera but in other regions.
